When soaring blue and white striped tents – the largest of which is 62 feet tall and 135 feet wide – arrive in town, something extraordinary is underway.
As Canada-based Cirque du Soleil (French for “Circus of the Sun”) presented its mesmerizing circus arts extravaganza, “BAZZAR,” on its North American tour this year, Fuel Logic was operating behind the scenes to help ensure the show’s success.

When the Circus Calls
It was late 2023 when a call came into Fuel Logic’s Dallas-based headquarters inquiring about fuel.
Facing challenges with several fuel suppliers at the time, the operators of Cirque du Soleil’s BAZZAR show were seeking not only a reliable, quality fuel source, but one that could provide fuel for multiple shows across several states.

Mobile Fuel for a Mobile Village
Since debuting in India in 2018, BAZZAR has been electrifying audiences the world over with its whimsical universe of remarkable aesthetics and infinite creativity brought to life by its talented troupe of acrobats, dancers, and musicians.
While many Cirque du Soleil shows are performed in arenas or theaters, others, including BAZZAR, take place under towering big top tents.
A purposely misspelled homage to a Middle Eastern bazaar, Cirque du Soleil’s BAZZAR is a tapestry of the high-energy excitement, collision of colors and sounds, and diverse characters that might be found in a traditional bazaar.
While it’s hard to truly comprehend, the spectacle of Cirque du Soleil’s “village on wheels” for BAZZAR takes shape over six days as the signature Big Top, an entrance/VIP tent, rehearsal spaces, a kitchen, offices, and more, are meticulously constructed. The Big Top seats more than 1,500 people and can withstand winds up to 75 mph.
The show site relies on local water supply and telecommunication facilities, as well as mobile fuel, to support its infrastructure.
While the tents are climate-controlled and must maintain optimal temperatures for the artists, equipment, and guests, there are countless lights, sound systems, and visual elements that also must be precisely powered and fine-tuned.
Peak Performance Demands Creative Fueling Solutions

BAZZAR’s first tour across U.S. cities included numerous shows over several consecutive months in Charlotte, N.C., St. Petersburg, Fla., Hartford, Conn., and Minneapolis, Minn., and required a steady supply of bulk fuel.
“We had fuel lined up to be delivered to each show site three to four times a week,” said Brandon Ward, fuel consultant with Fuel Logic. “Throughout 2024, we have been delivering 4,000 to 5,000 gallons a week, or anywhere from 20,000 to 24,000 gallons of fuel each month.”
Ward said that fuel was typically delivered to on-site bulk tanks, or fuel cubes, which could then be directly pumped into a variety of generators and equipment integral to the BAZZAR show.
Fuel Logic’s bulk fuel service translated into an ongoing and uninterrupted power supply for BAZZAR’s lights, sound systems, portable generators, and more, as well as a streamlined way for show operators to efficiently and seamlessly manage fuel levels, usage, scheduling, analytics, and invoicing.
